The Three Rivers Safari is a unique, fully accommodated 10-night journey that moves away from traditional mobile camping. This lodge-to-lodge safari visits seven different luxury lodges across three countries. You’ll travel between destinations in a comfortable mini-bus with a Letaka guide, enjoying activities via the individual lodges’ vehicles and boats.
Day 01: Botswana - Maun
Arrive at Maun Airport, transfer to Thamalakane River Lodge for relaxation and trip preparation.
Day 02-03: Botswana - Okavango Pan Handle
Transfer to Xaro Lodge via road and boat transfer in Shakawe. Spend two days exploring the UNESCO World Heritage area via boat cruises and island walks.
Day 04: Namibia - Caprivi Strip
Cross into Namibia and the Caprivi Strip, staying at Nambwa Tented Camp inside Bwabwata National Park for an afternoon game drive.
Day 05: Namibia - Zambezi River
Travel further east to Caprivi Houseboat Safari Lodge near Katima Mulilo, enjoying a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.
Day 06-07: Zambia - Livingstone
Cross the border into Zambia (expect delays) and stay at the David Livingstone Safari Lodge for two nights.
Focus: Guided tour of Victoria Falls (Zambian side), with a full day available for optional activities (bungee jumping, microflights, safari, or crossing briefly to see the Falls from the Zimbabwe side).
Day 08-09: Botswana - Chobe
Ferry across the Zambezi back into Botswana, heading to the Lesoma Valley (near the border) and staying at Elephant Valley // Tlouwana Lodge.
Activities: Two days of exploring the area with game drives and boat cruises on the Chobe River.
Day 10-11: Botswana - Makgadikgadi Pans
Head south to Gweta Lodge near the Makgadikgadi Pans.
Activities: Village tour in Gweta, a visit to the moon-like landscapes of the Pans, and a final Baobab and sundowner bush walk.
Day 12: Departure
Depart from Gweta Lodge, driving back to Maun Airport for international flights.
Optional Extensions: Visit Planet Baobab (meerkats/quad biking) or book a fly-in lodge stay in the Okavango Delta.
